I was born in New York City in 1973. I currently live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I have been working since I received my BFA from the University of Michigan in 1995. Upon graduation, I was contracted by the University of Michigan to complete forty portraits of the University's Scholar Athletes. These drawings are presently exhibited in the Crisler Basketball Arena on UMıs campus. This commission strengthened my drawing skills and opened the door to my full time career as an artist.
Since then I have fulfilled many private and public commissions in Michigan, Chicago, New York, and Arizona. In 1997, I opened The Underground Gallery in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which I created intending to meet and provide a venue for fellow artists. The gallery afforded me the opportunity to interact and learn from talented artists and patrons from all over the world. I studied and worked along side with mentors and professors from China, Romania, Africa, The Ukraine and the Midwest. In 1998, I was solicited to be the Art Director for ARC Fine Art Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona, and continued my exploration of the art world by curating exhibits for the ARC, meeting new artists and exhibiting my own work. I work with and explore many mediums, but I am particularly drawn to figurative painting and wood sculpture. I have recently broadened my painting experience by performing live tributes to my favorite artists. I have performed on stages from New York to Detroit and have been exhilarated by the crowds' response. Throughout all these endeavors, I have created an extensive body of work and I am currently seeking new venues for exhibition and performance.
